Coaching Elements
All the work that I bring through Back to Source Coaching, is through the Grace of my Sadguru Maa Samvidanand Saraswati and I dedicate this to Her too.
From my understanding of ancient wisdom, I have understood unequivocally that within each of us is a Divine Spark, that I refer to as Source or ATMA, it is also referred to as God, Spirit, Soul, Higher Energy, Our Essence, Innate Intelligence, Brilliance, Magnificence, choose a nomenclature that you resonate with.
What is fascinating is, that the Source is 100% equal and identical in all living beings – however it is housed in within a 100% unique vehicle, identity or framework, that we refer to as our personality, that I refer to as BMI or Body, Mind Intellect and this piece is an attempt to explain that framework. It is the model on which Back to Source Coaching rests.
Living creatures fall under three broad categories – plant, animal & human. They differ in their basic constitution.
Plants have only a body – they exist in the world at large exhibiting their nature, with no voluntary reaction to the world. It has no mind to feel emotions or intellect to think & contemplate upon their thoughts.
Animals have a body & a mind but not a fully developed intellect – they have an inbuilt program to live their lives and cannot tamper with their constitution – example a tiger cannot become vegetarian and a cow cannot start eating flesh, even their behavioural patterns are clearly defined and cannot be altered. They possess a collective nature – their feelings, likes & dislikes are in accordance to the collective nature of the species. Animals therefore cannot conceive of a higher energy Source or God or Spirit.
Humans possess a body, mind & intellect and the nature of each human being is singular, therefore each presents their own behavioural pattern and need to be treated individually and not collectively.
Each Human being is Unique. It is the gift of the human intellect (please note intellect & intelligence are not the same thing – intellect is the faculty of discrimination) that can entertain the thought of the transcendental, a higher energy Source, Spirit or God. Gifted with this faculty of Intellect comes the concept of Free Will – the freedom to choose the course of life. Making a choice is easy, but the basis of making the choice is what determines the quality of life lived & the life thereafter.
The Body executes the action it cannot act on its own. The action emanates from the Mind (the seat of emotion, feelings, likes, dislikes & impulses) or the Intellect (the seat of discernment, reason & judgement) or a combination of both (the wisdom of compassion & curiosity)
The Back to Source ELEMENTS are based on this understanding
- Our Source (God Principle, Spirit, Higher Energy) is enveloped/conditioned by our Body, Mind & Intellect
- To be able to access, the Source I have to work through the Body, Mind & Intellect
- When the Body is active, the Mind is balanced and the Intellect is clear, Source will reveal itself, there is nothing I need to do or even be – it is a natural unfoldment
- Once the Source is revealed, I still need to focus on the Body, Mind & Intellect, which serves as an expression of the Source in the Spirit of Service.
- I must be aware, conscious at all times that in the pursuit of contribution (in the spirit of service) I do not lose the connection with Source
The invitation is to embark on a journey with a Back to Source Coach in support of that unfoldment.
In essence, we are all the same and yet each one of us has our unique personality. In the words of Gary Zukav, ‘When the personality begins to serve the energy of the soul, that is authentic empowerment.’ And that is my personal wish for each one of you.
